Beautiful pink, semi-double flowers are balanced on well-branched deep red stems above a clump of mid-green vine-shaped leaves. An ideal plant for smaller gardens, it is easy to grow once established when the plants will spread to form a patch in a rich moist site. Shorter than many other anemone cultivars, it works well in smaller gardens or towards the middle of a border, and flowers from late summer well into autumn. Plants grown from these seeds may give a variety of forms and colours. Winner of a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (1997). Height: 60 - 75cm Plant Class: grow as Perennial Will Grow in Full Sun Can be grown in Pots or Tubs End Use: Borders, Dot Plant Sow: at any time of the year, they depend on having several months, sometimes up to a year in the cold, before they will germinate. Keep the seed tray moist in a cold greenhouse or shady corner and do not discard. These seeds can be very slow to germinate but do not use any artificial heat in an attempt to germinate them as it may simply disrupt their germination mechanism causing them to enter even deeper dormancy. |
Always use a good quality seed compost.
Please note we pack the majority of our seeds by volume so the number of seeds indicated is only an approximation.
