Cardboard Palm Zamia Furfuracea Seeds
The Zamia Furfuracea more commonly known as a Cardboard Palm, are not actually palms they are members of the Cycad family, and have been around since the age of the dinosaur. The Cardboard palm is a tropical plant with rigid, woody foliage that emerges from a central trunk.

This is an easy tropical plant to grow from seed that is fairly hardy and doesn’t require too much attention, they thrive in full sunlight and well-drained soil.

End use: Excellent Pot Plant or Patio

Sow: indoors all year round! The Cardboard palm needs to be in a Propagator to germinate.
Place the seeds into warm water for 24 hours. use good seed compost. A mix of 50/50 compost and vermiculite, plant cover seeds 1cm deep with compost.

Germination can take 1-4 months at 20 - 22°C, keep compost moist at all times (Not wet)
Transplant the individual seedling in to 10cm pots.
Warning this plants seed is poisonous to dogs and cats.
