Schefflera actinophylla, a.k.a. Brassaia, is a stunning, tropical shrub or tree with a vigorous habit. This beautiful Schefflera has a natural glossy look and long, oblong leaves. The shiny green, leathery leaves are arranged on their slender stalks like an umbrella, or like fingers on a hand. Schefflera actinophylla is native to tropical areas of Northeast Australia, Java and New Guinea, where it grows to huge sizes in open woodlands and monsoon rainforests. As a houseplant Schefflera is super versatile and it adapts well to various conditions. Schefflera is easy to Grow to any size you want. Tender Perennial (to 0C) - must be protected from frost Height: up to 50cm - 2m in a pot Position: Sun, part shade in well drained soil or Shrub Compost. Sowing the seeds Sow seed in a seed tray and cover the seed with a good seed compost / perlite mix. Water thoroughly Propagate at 16 - 18° C, Keep the soil moist; do not allow it to dry out.
